Blogger who? Me?

Well I believe that's enough to explain that I wrote the subject a week back and writing the rest today!! Keeping it alive only ;-) lol

Oh and how exciting was the first day!

The first day, when I started a blog.... My mind kept overflowing with ideas but the reality kept me away. I stayed occupied with home chores and a bouncing baby (literally) and couldn't post a thing. Does our mind work better in such pressurized oppressed condition? What keeps us going despite of unbelievably difficult and out of control situations? What if I tell you that my two year old is currently pulling clips out of my hair??

Will soon be posting stuff about eid in Abu Dhabi, my love for green doors and things not to forget when moving. InshaAllah!! Adios :-)

Things not to forget while moving

Like we have recently done that so the checklist below can be really handy:
- all your documents, specially those related to your work, education, immigration etc.
- basic crockery and cutlery. In UAE you can easily find everything from rolling pin, flat tawa to even pathan bhai's vibrant blue little mirror. Don't get into too much hassle of bringing all your sauce pans and pots. There's sale every now and then, so you can collect all you need with time
- don't bring the whole wardrobe as there's limited space available at first and then it gets filled very quickly. Besides the size of the wardrobe may not be quite big.
- if you have kids: don't forget there vaccination card, birth certificate, basic medicines. Also have at least a fortnightly supply of their milk and diapers. Do pick up all kinds of clothing for them as you never know how they will react to the new environment. Generally a light jacket is a good enough to deal with the air conditioning in the malls and buses

Brrrrrr....

As against Karachi, the winter fashion has already begun in the UAE, you can already see boots, jackets, layered clothing, woolen scarves etc. So as the slightly cold breeze hits the town i thought of getting some info on Winter VS moisturizers

Looking pretty is never effortless and upholding the image is taxing. Who knows it better than all you divas ;)

As the sun decides to take a backseat and winter reels its ugly head, pale, sneezing and stuffy-nosed face with watery eyes become an inevitable part of fashion. Hats off to the ladies who manage to keep up on their dazzling factor despite the early morning agony!

Opposites attract; so it doesn’t come as a surprise that winters attract moisturizers. Recalling the commonly seen local commercials, there are few that just stick in memory and only because it is hard to shake them off :D

Topper of the list is bees saal wala mere liye kyun nahi :O Then there is the OLIVIA... shukriya that never fails to disappoint and lastly, Nisa, nahi koi tujh sa! The less amusing ones include Fair and Lovely fairness cold cream for all the complexion conscious folks and the seemingly promising Vaseline.

Though women tend to pay at least SOME attention to their skin as it turns lizard-like, men continue to very robustly feel that being cautious about their skin is un-manly. Trust me, the stalking, you might be used to getting, will reduce to none and have faith in me when I tell you no one wants to hold a hand that feels like wading through a pile of autumn leaves!! To build-up on your manly façade, you can look for Vaseline for MEN and guard yourself of any feministic aspect of moisturizing.

If you are in the mood of spending then L’Oreal Nutrissimi, Estee Lauder Advance Multi-Protection Lotion, OLAY Moisturizing lotion, Clinique Moisture Surge, MAC Complete Comfort Cream, the wide range of fruity lotions by The Body Shop are a few options to choose from.

If all falls short, tip toe and sneak some Johnson’s Baby Lotion from a baby in the family and feel the smugness as you climb the steps to prettier/handsomer-self ;)

Effects of baby tv, Dora and barney on parents

With kids you can barely live without providing them the above mentioned. This leaves you nothing but humming 'd d d d Dora d d d d Dora' or 'barney is a dinosaur from our imagination'.

As you change your child's clothes you will then either become Christopher Robin or tiger because he or she is pretending to be pooh bear. Gone are the days when you'd put light music and enjoy your free time cuddling with your spouse. Now either you are watching mickey mouse club house or helping your kid color the characters of it.

Surfing on the internet is also not an escape as our quickie learners are mastering the skills of online games. Again thanks for Nickelodeon, Fisherprice and not to mention, that too of their favourite tv cartoon characters. How amazing it is, our kids are being left on the mercy of media...for better or for worse!!! Sigh....

Karachi to Abu Dhabi

Not to forget how difficult it had been to leave your loved ones and head off to some place new, but Allah SWT had been very merciful upon us. When there's one trouble then He surely cuts down all the others from the way and assists us throughout!

Despite of access baggage, travelling alone with a two year old baby abroad didnt seem that tough as beloved family made special arrangements for smooth departure. On the arrival end hubby love booked Marhaba service provided by Eithad airline that treats you like a gold class passenger and makes sure u have no trouble in immigration.

It was an absolute delight to have been treated this special! surely made me realize that I was truly blessed with the most loving family in the world.
